Belgian beers
We now have Belgian beers at very democratic prices: Karmeliet, Duvel, Westmalle Tripel, Trappistes Rochefort 8, Leffe Dark, Vedett White and Lindemans Kriek.
Impression
In november last year Tomas Vanderplaetse (aka Suntapes), his wife Elizabeth and two children Marte and Jerom stayed for three weeks at the Huahuasei Lodge. It was harvest time and they made daily walks through the village and the surrounding fields.

Qingming
Or Tomb Sweeping Day, an important festival for the Naxi in Wumu. With the scent of spring in the air, the villagers spend a picknick day near the tombs of their ancestors.
At the moment a great event for the village is the road being constructed for the 13 km between the government seat at Guole and the primary school of Wumu. This challenging project should be finished by July 2014 and will make the trip to the village more comfortable.
Year of the Horse
To celebrate this year of strength and good fortune, the village takes its time to relish from these days of abundance, generosity, play and laughter.
At the beginning of this year a lovely article was published in the Belgian newspaper magazine De Morgen. Travel journalist Debbie Pappyn recounts her visit to Wumu in August 2013 (in Dutch).
Mid Autumn
Walnuts, mint leaves and brown sugar are the main ingredients of Wumu homemade mooncakes.
Enjoy some cosy time with family around the chicken hotpot, visit neighbours under the full moon.
