This is the shortest and most original way to hike, drive and boat from Daju to Yongning with passage through Wumu. With a new ferry at Daju where even cars can pass, it takes about three hours from Walnut Grove to Wumu. After descending for about one hour from the lodge to the Jinsha River shores, a boat can take you to Baoshan Stone City in half an hour, or to Fengke bridge in one and a half hour. From Fengke it is a two hour drive to Yongning or a two day hike through forest, Naxi, Mosuo and Yi hamlets.
